A song about our Governments inadequacies in looking after the people it puts into danger for greed.

[Em7]and you say that you will look [C9]after them when they come [G]home from foreign [D]soil
[Em7]yet you rely on [C9]charity to pull them [G]though as if you can't be bothered at [D]all
What the hell are they fighting [G]for
[C]What the hell are they fighting [G]for
[D]What the hell are they fighting [G]for
Chorus
[G]you say you're fighting for de[C]mocracy
[G]but you just want your cheaper [D]oil
[G]while our soldiers in there [C] hundreds
are [D]maimed and dyng at [G]your call
[G]you say you're fighting for de[C]mocracy
[G]but you just want your cheaper [D]oil
[G]while our soldiers in there [C] hundreds
are [D]maimed and dyng at [G]your call

The more recent albums have been good (though I'm still to be convinced by Lost Folk), but this is still Gaz's best album. Cornish Fishing Town is superb (loved the duet with Nick at South Petherton a few years ago), but Knights of the Round Table is another level again - my absolute favourite Gaz song, though not one for live shows, sadly. zummerzet66
The second EP from Northern Irish singer-songwriter Bea Stewart runs from gentle folk to pillowy pop ballads, all perfectly executed. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 15, 2024

I'm sat in our van, in a layby in the Midlands awaiting the exuberant excitement tomorrow... This is where it's at!
Love and Light and Laughter to all that made this little slice of magic whilst supporting mental health. Myself, the universe and many others thank you.
I don't wanna go home - good job I live in a van 😁 Stella O'Farrell
